POS stands for more than 45 years of expertise in milling. But many of our loyal customers also wanted a lathe from POS. After all, we were able to convince so well with our previous products and our service that a turning solution in our portfolio was simply the next step.
And so it was in 2012: Raise the curtain for a POS lathe with driven tools. Of course, with the same maxims in terms of standards, accuracy and stability – the POSturn E 450. This comes in two versions:
- short version with 750 mm turning length
- large version with 1,250 mm turning length
A lathe that masters all materials and at the same time takes over small milling operations on the turned part – that was our mission. And we put them into practice. The result is our POSturn E 450, a highly stable and very precise machine that is used as a supplementary machine as well as in professional series production.
This is what distinguishes the POS lathe:
- Sloping bed concept for great stability and optimum chip removal
- German quality turret with twelve driven tools
- Glass scales for constant accuracy

Bevel bed concept + cast steel + quality turret
The sloping bed concept ensures optimum chip fall and maximum stability. Due to the special arrangement of the mudguards, the chips are discharged into the chip conveyor in a uniform and concentrated manner. Of course, reliable illumination is used. As with our milling machines, we also rely on cast steel as the construction material for our lathe and thus have an optimal grip on the thermals.
A German quality turret with twelve driven tools and integrated collision protection ensures high flexibility and maximum safety for complex orders. For the sake of your customers. For the sake of your employees.
