Regardless of whether demanding materials have to be machined with the highest precision in tool and mould making. Or in part production aluminium, steel, stainless steel or cast iron must be machined. The POSmill E 1600 will master it with flying colors. It is the larger addition to the smaller POSmill CE 1000.
It does not matter what order you receive tomorrow. Due to its high dynamics and simultaneous stability, it has enough reserves to be able to work profitably.
A classic among machining centres. Here, POS consistently relies on a proven solid cross-table construction. In this case, cast steel is used as a homogeneous building material in order to ensure uniform thermal behaviour. Today, one often hears of so-called mineral casting. This should be thermally even better than cast steel. But is it really? In this case, however, it is repeatedly “concealed” that you then have to screw linear guides made of steel onto this mineral casting (synthetic resin + concrete). That is to say, two materials with two different coefficients of expansion meet one another. Tensions arise between the two materials. The expansion advantage is thus eliminated.
Then why is mineral casting still used? The answer is in the price! The production costs are only ¼ as high as in the case of cast steel. Do you get this price advantage from the machine manufacturers, or does the shareholder get this price advantage?
POS relies on cast steel for technical reasons in order to be technically optimally positioned.
Compared to normal cross-table concepts, POS also uses oversized linear guides and reduces the tilting moment at the table by six instead of four guide carriages in the X-axis. This effect is supported by the four linear guides in the Y-axis. This means that the forces/vibrations are directly diverted, no matter where you are on the table.
The very large interior makes room for very large parts. Due to the wide windows in the X-axis direction, the customer can also easily handle excessively long parts from case to case. Stainless steel cladding ensures longevity and gives the chip little opportunity to form chip nests. Coupled with optimal ergonomics, the operator enjoys his workplace in the long term.
Chips are consistently transported forward by two transverse conveyors and thus end up directly in the scraper conveyor.
Full equipment is the motto at POS.
